Brisbane Transit Centre and Coach Terminal Relocation

The Brisbane Transit Centre will be demolished to make way for Cross River Rail’s new underground Roma Street Station.

Roma Street site early works will start in 2019, with demolition of existing buildings beginning in late-2020, totally transforming the whole precinct by 2025.

The Brisbane Coach Terminal which is currently located in the Brisbane Transit Centre, will be relocated adjacent to Platform 10 on the northern side of the existing Roma Street station.

Construction of this temporary terminal started in early November 2018 and is expected to be operational in mid-2019, construction conditions permitting. Construction will take place between 6:30am and 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday. Works will not be scheduled on public holidays or during events at Roma Street Parkland.

The Construction Environmental Management Plan outlines the potential environmental impacts and the associated management measures that will be used by CRRDA and its contractors to mitigate and minimise these impacts.
